Commvault improves reseller terms

Commvault is paying its distributors and resellers a lot more money to sell its storage products.

The changes to the Commvault Partner Advantage programme represent “the simplest, most transparent and financially rewarding partner program in Commvault’s history.,” chief revenue officer Ricardo di Blasio said in a statement. di Blasio joined Commvault in May 2019.

Improvements include:

  • Commvault Distributors that help secure new customer business and achieve repeat business or multiple transactions over the course of the partner year can earn an average 1.65 times payout increase year-over-year.
  • Solution Provider channel partners under the MarketBuilder scheme will typically receive an average 2.5 times payout increase on a year-over-year basis. 

Commvault has also provided easier access to training, sales enablement, marketing materials, and real time support. The company has introduced Program tier progression, simplified quoting and easier deal registration and deal protection into the partner program.

The changes are available now to its distributors and resellers. There are two other kinds of partners in the Commvault world; Global System Integrator and Alliances, and Service Provider. Enhancements to their plans will be unveiled later this year.
