SoC

SoC – System on Chip. The integration of an entire computer system on a single chip or integrated circuit (IC). The components can include a central processing unit, input and output ports, internal memory, as well as analog input and output blocks and other things. SoCs can perform a variety of functions including signal processing, wireless communication, artificial intelligence and more. A SoC shrinks normally multi-chip designs onto a single chip computer system that uses much less power than the multi-chip starting system, and takes up a physically smaller space as well.
