NVMe KV – the Non-Volatile Memory Express Key-Value standard devised by the Non Volatile Memory Express group and the SNIA. With it a server application accessing data on key-value (KV) storage such as NVMe SSDs can send KV requests to the storage instead of converting the KV request into lower-level storage commands such as object or block requests. This simplifies the storage stack and provides. a performance benefit. NVM Express standardized a KV command set and the SNIA standardized a KV API.
