HPE has added the SimpliVity hyperconverged infrastructure platform to the list of things that Infosight monitors.
InfoSight is HPE’s predictive analytics service, delivered over the cloud. It collects telemetry from arrays and HCI systems and provides system resource state and predictive usage information.
Infosight automates various support processes and uses machine learning to detect telemetry patterns or signatures that could indicate complex problems.
The single-click cluster upgrade means that SimpliVity deployments can be non-disruptively upgraded in a single process that includes firmware, hypervisor, and SimpliVity software across the nodes in a cluster and across sites.
SimpliVity incorporates built-in backup and recovery for long-term retention and compliance. This is now complemented with integration to HPE’ s StoreOnce deduping to disk backup appliance.
The SimpliVity software also centralises remote management of distributed edge sites. Customers can failover edge sites in the event of disaster, with single click edge-to-core VM mobility and recovery.
Customers of HPE’s GreenLake subscription service can consume SimpliVity as a service. Lastly SimpliVity is available as an HPE Validated Design for Google Cloud’s Anthos, providing a hybrid cloud for containers in a consumption-based setup.
InfoSight for SimpliVity is available today and is offered at no charge to customers with a current service agreement. StoreOnce for HPE SimpliVity is available in the first half of 2020 to customers who have the latest software versions of SimpliVity and StoreOnce v3.x or v4.x.
