Fujitsu and NetApp have gained the SAP seal of approval for their joint NFLEX converged system.
NFLEX is similar in concept to the Dell EMC-Cisco VxBlocks and the set-up features Fujitsu Primergy CX servers, NetApp all-flash FAS storage and Extreme Networks VDX switches.
The Cisco-NetApp FlexPod, by contrast, is a reference architecture system of NetApp storage and Cisco servers and networking products. FlexPod is available globally while NFLEX is available only in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
NFLEX for SAP Environments is certified for SAP Business Suite to SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW/4HANA deployments. It supports Windows and Linux operating systems.
Fujitsu says NFLEX is enhanced with a unified converged infrastructure manager, more flexible compute options and more powerful storage. Upcoming versions launch this year and will include Oracle and VMware end user computing.
NFLEX for SAP Environments is available immediately in EMEA. Price information is notable by its absence but Fujitsu says unhelpfully that it “varies by configuration”.
