Atempo's disk-to-disk Time Navigator continuous protection product can now place protected data on Nexsan's SATABeast Xi power-efficient storage array.
With Atempo and Nexsan’s common support for Mac, Windows and UNIX, the product pairing is optimized for heterogeneous environments, particularly organizations with a strong Apple Mac presence.
Bob Woolery, SVP of marketing at Nexsan, said: .“Most organizations utilize a heterogeneous mix of computing platforms each requiring data protection including Macs. In integrating Atempo software with Nexsan’s SATABeast Xi, we have created a powerful solution that resellers can use to address the challenges of storing cross-platform data under a common management system and structure. The capabilities are especially critical for data-intensive industries, such as media and entertainment, where Atempo and Nexsan’s proven Mac support is further differentiated with high performance, high density and energy saving green storage.” The Atempo and Nexsan product pairing supports a broad range of applications and databases including specific applications for the media and entertainment industry such as media asset management applications. The pairing also includes all components necessary to provide virtual tape library (VTL) functionality delivering increased backup performance, improved recovery performance and reduced media management issues. Resellers will have the flexibility to sell different bundles of Time Navigator and SATABeast Xi that can scale up to 42 TB and 20 agents.
Karim Toubba, VP of marketing and product management at Atempo, said: "Time Navigator and SATABeast Xi technology gives our resellers a much needed and requested package – a seamless offering that bundles all components to deliver an end-to-end backup-to-disk solution.”
