Nexsan gets BlueArc and Drobo founder boost on board

Geoff Barrall appointed a director

Dr Geoff Barrel, the founder of super-NAS supplier BlueArc and CEO and founder of storage robot company Drobo, has joined the Nexsan Board of Directors.

In addition to his roles at Data Robotics and BlueArc, he served on the board of directors of Tacit Networks and was an executive consultant to the senior team at Brocade Communications. His storage experience also includes sitting on the boards of advisors of Data Domain and NeoPath. Altogether he has founded five companies.

Philip Black, Nexsan's president and CEO, said: "Geoff brings a tremendous amount of insight and industry experience to the Nexsan board.
