London, UK. May 14, 2008 – Traxdata, a leading brand of flash and optical media storage products, has today announced availability of its new 16GB Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) storage product, as well as adding both the miniSDHC and microSDHC memory cards to its existing range.

Traxdata’s SDHC 16GB allows users to store approximately 5000 four-megapixel images or approximately six hours and 40 minutes of MPEG-2 video on the one card.  Rated Class 6 for data transfer speed, it is the highest speed class currently available, and means data can be written at a minimum speed of 6MB per second, perfect for high-definition video and images.

The SDHC 16GB is ideal for professional photographers who demand a reliable SDHC memory product with high speed and high capacity for taking photos or full motion videos. A user-selectable mechanical write-protect switch on the side protects against the accidental deletion of data. The card is also more energy efficient therefore allowing the user to utilise it for more sustained periods of time in the various SHDC compatible devices such as cameras, video cameras and PDAs.

In addition, Traxdata has also announced the availability of two new formats to its existing range – both a 4GB and 8GB version of the miniSDHC memory card alongside a 4GB microSDHC card, one of the smallest memory cards in the world. Both the miniSDHC and microSDHC are ideal for people who use their mobile phones for taking photos, download and store music on their phones or for those that use their mobile device for more complex use such as email, office documents and the internet.

Both formats are also Class 6 rated memory cards and enable the user to store a variety of digital data such as high quality images, video clips, MP3 or other digital files. Both the miniSDHC and microSDHC also have a very low power consumption so users don’t have to worry about them using up mobile phone battery life. By making use of the adapter that they come with, Traxdata miniSDHC and microSDHC memory cards can also be used in standard SDHC compatible devices such as digital cameras, digital video cameras and PDAs.
