Disk to disk backup enhances performance, increases reliability and provides comprehensive data protection. The City of Nampa, Idaho is the second largest city in the state and one of the fastest growing cities in the area, reflected in expanding businesses, an increasing population of more than 80,000 and new developments. Police investigation audio records, city records, and other critical community information form the city’s five terabytes of data, stored across 30 servers. Nampa was using Backup Exec for its storage solution, but as the data increased, the city needed a solution with faster restore capabilities and easier accessibility.
