SlySoft breaks latest Blu-ray copy protection
In a pressĀ release full of bravado and puffed-up self-importance an organisation called SlySoft has boasted that it has broken the latest Blu-ray BD+ copy protection scheme. Users of its AnyDVD HD product will be able to copy BD+ protected Blu-ray disks.
SlySoft's Peer van Heuen, head of HD technologies at the firm, says that updates to BD+ to amend its protection scheme will be dealt with promptly and cracked as well. SlySoft is based in the Caribbean island of Antigua and thus legal moves against it may prove difficult. What a ridiculous state of affairs.
