Executive changes at Revinetix

posted on 15 February 2008 08:06

CEO chairman two step

Disk-to-disk back company Revinetix has promoted its CEO, founder Steve Ackerman, to chairman. The current president, Thomas G. Hogan, moves up to CEO.

Why?

The company states that Hogan, who has spent three years at the company, will continue leading the company in addition to the new responsibilities of developing new business opportunities and implementing corporate objectives from the board of directors. Yes well, it would be surprising if he didn't implement board-level corporate objectives.

Ackerman has also been appointed, or appointed himself, chief scientist and will will architect and direct the technical vision for Revinetix. This might seem dd. Hogan, in charge of driving the company forwards, will be reporting to the company founder who will also act as chief product technology strategist. Some might think that removes a significant responsibility from the CEO.

Revinetix provides small and medium-sized businesses with data backup and recovery technology solutions including the Sentio, a rack mount data protection appliance, and the Volo, a desktop data protection appliance, and Revinetix’ data protection software RevOS.
