Software, professional services and hardware bundle provides e-discovery growth path and control to corporations

NEW YORK — Feb. 5, 2008 — Attenex Corp., a leading e-discovery software provider, today from the LegalTech New York 2008 conference announced the launch of Snapshot Review, a bundled package of Attenex® Patterns® E-Discovery Software, professional consulting services and hardware to give corporations early insight into electronic data quickly and easily. Available as a three-month package, Attenex® Snapshot Review™ provides corporations with a stepping stone on which to develop a comprehensive and long-term e-discovery program.

Snapshot Review is a low-cost and easy to deploy offering of the tools, services and best practices needed by corporations to improve their e-discovery processes. With Snapshot Review, corporations can quickly identify key custodians, issues and data to inform preservation and collection policies, proactively place defensible limits on collection for the Meet and Confer meeting, more accurately budget for legal review, better assess risk and develop case strategy earlier in the discovery process. Additionally, Snapshot Review includes expert consulting services from Attenex, incorporating industry best practices.

“Having developed an e-discovery program at a Fortune 500 corporation, I understand firsthand how legal and IT departments struggle with questions about which processes or technology to implement for e-discovery,” said Ashley Watson, vice president and general counsel of Attenex. “Snapshot Review is designed specifically for those corporations that are developing or enhancing their e-discovery processes and want to take more control in-house so they can have better insight on the data, reduce legal review costs and more proactively develop case strategy.”

After the three-month period, customers have a variety of options for their e-discovery program, including continuing to use the Snapshot Review tool, deploying a full Attenex platform on-premise, standardizing its process in a hosted environment managed by an Attenex Advantage™ partner, or creating a custom combination tailored to the unique demands of the customer’s environment.

According to a recent report from Barry Murphy, senior analyst for Forrester Research (E-Discovery Best Practices, Forrester Research, Inc., September, 2007), “Organizations lack confidence in e-discovery readiness often because they lack knowledge about how much information exists, where it exists, and what the information contains.” Snapshot Review is designed to meet this need and provide corporations with better control and insight into their electronically stored information (ESI) — giving corporations more confidence in how e-discovery can provide proactive and strategic benefits.

Snapshot Review provides customers with the following:

· Professional services: Deployment, product training and assistance in developing repeatable processes for e-discovery that map to the company’s environment and business processes

· Attenex Patterns E-Discovery Software: Three concurrent user seats for full access to the complete Attenex Patterns application. Attenex Patterns, one of the top e-discovery software applications in the market according to the 2007 Socha-Gelbmann E-Discovery Survey, dramatically reduces the time and cost of the most expensive process within e-discovery: legal document review. Attenex Patterns processes and de-dupes the data set, in some cases reducing the overall amount of data up to 80 percent, and then utilizes visual analytics and concept clustering to present legal teams with a faster, more efficient and less costly method to see and understand the information.

· Hardware: A ‘mobile command unit’ for investigations and discovery operations, including laptop computers loaded with the Attenex Patterns software, for quick and easy deployment.

Snapshot Review will be available at a starting price of $50,000 in February from Attenex. For more information, please visit www.attenex.com.
