Asaro back in the ESG fold?
posted on 14 February 2008 14:53
I received news of an ESG/CommVault/ Data Domain webcast and one detail caught my eye. Here's the DD note:-
ON-DEMAND WEBCAST
Centralizing Data Management and Protection: The CommVault and Data Domain Solution
View Now!
The Enterprise Strategy Group predicts that archival storage will amount to over 26,000 PB by 2010. A new, enhanced tier of storage between primary disk and tape, often referred to as nearline or secondary storage, is required, as disk-based data protection and retention is now becoming required to keep pace with data growth.
This webcast moderated by a senior analyst from ESG provides an in-depth look into how Data Domain Deduplication Storage and CommVault Simpana software together form a centrally-managed tier of disk-based storage not just for data protection, but also for archive, replication, resource management and search.
View Webcast to learn how to reduce the complexity associated with managing data across multiple tiers of storage.
Speakers:
Tony Asaro, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group
David West, VP of Marketing and Business Development, CommVault
Brian Biles, Co-founder and VP of Product Management, Data Domain

Tony Asaro! He left ESG and went to Dell but left after three weeks. Is he back at ESG?
He's not listed on ESG's analysts' page; not surprisingly, as it turns out to be a dated piece of marketing material and Steve Duplessie is probably going to moderate the webcast. Oh well, it was a nice idea while it lasted.
